Alone- thoughts come and go, some are worthy , most are just monkey chatter. It seems essential to allow space for quiet alone time. As important as eight hours of sleep and a good cup of tea in the afternoon. This park is a good one for alone time- people seem to respect it- space to sit quietly and listen to ebb and flow- cold breeze rustling tree debris, skittering along the pavement. I am sure that many problems are solved this way...if one needed a church this would be it.
It's the gap- the inbetween- the uncertainty that makes alone time so appealing. Space where absolutely nothing and everything exists.
Loneliness is a different matter- I do not know loneliness personally, have only read about it. It is hard to give it much cred in this world full of people- how can one possibly be lonely? Maybe being "unheard" qualifies as "lonely". That I understand.

Many elderly are lonely - unfortunately.
You are so wise to know how important alone time is. We all need spaces between the crazies we have to deal with every day. Loved the photo of Eric the Good Witch. Hahaha!

I've always been comfortable with alone time. I think being a writer helps -- you can build some inner dialogue, you know?

R is a very nice person.........but he us here all the time.....and wants to talk to me.

I love my alone time and get quite a lot of it, whereas Andy doesn't get as much as I am always here! Or nearly always. I can imagine being lonely even if I am not and that scares me. I will always have cats I hope and they will keep me company! I hope Dexter is better too.
