FUTURE SO BRIGHT - I GOTTA WEAR SHADES!

I have been using such unusually bright colours for felting lately...Dexter has to wear shades. He prefers subdued hues, anything bone coloured is good.I just finished this bright cushion this afternoon and it looks like a flash back.

"if you're going to San Francisco, be sure to take a flower cushion..."

Even the orange is so sixties-ish! Must be the sunshine bringing out the old hippie in me. Spare change, man?
I had enough stuffing left for a pin cushion .

I did these grubs with wings last year - nobody responded positively to them - I thought they were so cute, living in their little mache nuts...so, before I realized that they would not be well received ,I ordered more mache nuts from Germany to make more grubs...does anyone have a better idea? Something that might live in a nut, that I could felt, that might be more appealing?
My imagination is out in the sunshine somewhere, grooving.

I could just scrump that pup right up! And I'm loving your cushion creations - let that hippie loose...

I'll give the mache nuts some thought although I don't understand why the grubs haven't been found appealing. I think they're adorable.

p.s. I did notice the K and the elephant but EVERYTHING in that little collection seemed so perfectly chosen for me! Perhaps with the exception of the wrench. I'm not very handy with tools. Perhaps this indicates an area of growth?!

Lovely felting. That pup of yours is one cool dude.
I've seen a blog where the person made a book to put in a walnut shell.

Hehe! Pup looks at home in those shades. Love the hippie colors! I especially like the pin cushion. Nuts? Little boats for little pirates? Aaarrrgh.

Now dearest friend. What are the dimensions of those mache nuts. Like what size nuts would fit in there?

I really don't know much about teeny tiny, itty bitty nuts.

Now if we are talking about nuts that would fit nicely in the palm of your hand, well, I don't know anything about those nuts either.

Love you, nutty you.

Love Renee xoxo

I like those whimsical little nuts, actually. When I was teaching in public school I worked with a team mate who always used to say "there are squirrels in every bunch." He was referring to our middle school children:). Fondly. When I left that job, he gave me a little ceramic squirrel which I still have on my desk. He'd look adorable in a nut!

I love that pup, by the way. The sunglasses made my day!

I am chuckling here,

About the nut grubs. Just when you think you are on to a really good thing, and no one gets it.

Been there, where is their taste?

I'm your BIGGEST fan!
